ISMS Members Appointed to New IDFPR Board!

Congratulations to our members who were appointed to a new Illinois State Medical Board under the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).

The new Board, which was established on Jan. 1, 2022, is a combination of the former Illinois Medical Disciplinary Board and Illinois Medical Licensing Board, which were separate entities responsible for separate parts of the Department’s functions.

The Illinois Medical Disciplinary Board heard all disciplinary matters related to physicians and physician assistants, while the Illinois Medical Licensing Board considered all licensing matters for physicians.
