Measles Alert: Attention Perinatal Healthcare Professionals

A measles clinical practice advisory for perinatal healthcare professionals was recently released by the Illinois Department of Public (IDPH).

The advisory provides practical guidance for bedside healthcare professionals to aid in the clinical management of pregnant people exposed to measles and their newborns. The notification includes input from the IDPH; the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH); and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) team, currently in Chicago to help with the outbreak.
