Child Abuse Reporting

Child Abuse Suspected? Docs Must Report

In Illinois, physicians are among the professions mandated by statute to report suspected cases of child abuse.

It is important to have a basic understanding of what's expected of you if you suspect child abuse.

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services offers a free course for physicians and other mandated reporters to help you better understand your critical role in protecting children by recognizing and reporting child abuse.
