Your New Advertising Campaign Is About to Launch! But Will it Pass Muster with IDFPR?
June 3, 2022
Illinois law allows advertising for your medical practice – but not without some limits to ad content.
For example, it's ok to advertise your name and title, along with your specialty, office hours, address and telephone number. You may also advertise professional services that you are licensed to render.
What can't you include in your ad?
Some examples include enticing the public through claims of your superior quality of care, or fee comparisons with other physicians.
The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) closely monitors physician advertising for compliance.
