Illinois Moves to Phase 1B for COVID-19 Vaccinations
January 22, 2021
Starting Monday, January 25, the entire state of Illinois will begin Phase 1B for COVID-19 vaccinations, which includes:
- Residents age 65 and over – 1.9 million adults in Illinois qualify
- Frontline essential workers – 1.3 million Illinois residents qualify (first responders, education, food and agriculture, manufacturing, corrections workers and inmates, USPS workers, public transit workers, grocery store workers and staff at shelters and day cares)
Physicians who want to order vaccines to be administered in their offices must enroll in I-CARE, IDPH’s web based immunization record-sharing application. Also check out the IDPH’s new daily vaccination data web page, offering up-to-date information about vaccine distribution and administration.
