Posted on: 4/25/2014

Last week Illinois announced its proposed rules for the four-year Medical Cannabis Pilot Program, removing a provision that required gun owners to give up their firearm owners ID cards in order to get a medical cannabis card.

In addition, regulators dropped the application fee for obtaining a medical cannabis card from $150 to $100; the fee for veterans and those on Social Security disability income dropped from $75 to $50.

The general public now has 45 days to comment on these draft rules. Stay tuned!
