Flu Season Persists; Keep Going with Vaccinations
Posted on: 2/28/2014
Your patients can still benefit from an influenza vaccination, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. While flu activity in Illinois is on a downward trend, data indicates that the virus will circulate for several weeks yet.

The hardest hit this season include working-age adults, 18 to 64 years of age, accounting for 66 percent of the current cases nationwide. This percentage is almost double the percentages of the last three flu seasons, in which this age group remained at about 35 percent.
