New National Poll: Patients Prefer Physicians
Posted on: 1/10/2014

A new national survey reveals that the majority of Americans prefer physicians over non-physicians for their medical care. Regardless of their age, sex, partisanship or opinion about the health reform law, the poll clearly shows that Americans want their doctors.

Highlights of the survey follow:

  • Nearly 72 percent of Americans prefer physicians over non-physicians for their medical care.
  • Ninety percent would choose a physician to lead their "ideal medical team," if given the choice.
  • By more than two to one, physicians are viewed as more knowledgeable, experienced, trusted and up-to-date on medical advances than non-physicians.

The American people have spoken. This survey reinforces what is already common knowledge - there is simply no substitute for the physician!
