Attention Physicians Not Participating in PQRS: Did You Miss the Oct. 18 Deadline to Avoid the 2015 Medicare Penalty Adjustment?
Posted on: 10/25/2013

As we have been reporting for several weeks, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) will impose penalty adjustments for all eligible professionals (EP) who do not report Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) data in the 2013 reporting period. (If you're already reporting PQRS data, this does not apply to you.)

If you missed the October 18 deadline, you can still avoid the penalty by:

  1. Reporting one valid measure via claims, a participating registry, or a qualified EHR; or
  2. Reporting one valid measure in a measures group via claims or a participating registry.
