Statewide Prescription Assistance Program Aims to Help Patients Save On Their Prescriptions
Posted on: 6/3/2019

Prescription drugs can be a significant cost for your patients. Check out these nationwide stats1:

  • From 2008 to 2016, prices for brand name drugs rose 208%.
  • Patients are spending more than $450 billion annually on prescription medications to treat their health issues.
  • 19% of patients on prescription drugs have skipped a dosage or cut it in half in order to reduce costs.

ISMS offers a benefit partner that may help ease the high costs of medications for your patients – the Illinois Rx Card.

Patients (and doctors, too!) can save up to 75 percent on their prescription drugs with this FREE card

This Rx savings program was launched to help uninsured and underinsured Illinois residents afford their prescription medications. The Illinois Rx Card can also be used by patients who have health insurance coverage with no prescription benefits.

Any physicians who are interested in ordering free cards for their clinic/hospital may contact Program Development Director Stacy Miller by email or by calling 888-615-1988.
