Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB) Finally Bites the Dust!
Posted on: 2/13/2018

When Congress cleared a spending package last week, the bill had a present for doctors: The legislation permanently repeals Medicare's Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB). That's right, we are reporting actual good news from Congress.

Physicians (count ISMS among them) strongly opposed this unelected panel, which was granted expansive oversight over Medicare spending – a responsibility historically held by Congress.
