If you wish to practice in other states in addition to Illinois, there's now a fast-track process in place to obtain licenses outside our state's borders.

Under recent legislation, the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact makes it possible for Illinois doctors to receive expedited licenses in other states that also participate in the Compact.

The fast-track process will be very useful for Illinois physicians who practice telemedicine or want to more easily expand their practices into other states.

Learn more with ISMS' recently updated Issue Brief, An Expedited System for Multi-State Practice is Now Available, covering what the Compact is and how it works.

If you have questions, call the ISMS Advocacy Team at 800-782-4767 ext. 1470, or send an email.
