  • Avoid Payment Delays - Revalidate Your Medicaid Enrollment Data by December 31

On August 3, the Illinois Medicaid Program Advanced Cloud Technology (IMPACT) system replaced the decades-old Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS).

Due to this switch, physicians who treat Medicaid patients must revalidate their existing enrollment data online by Dec. 31, 2015.

Physicans who miss the deadline risk having to re-enroll and will likely experience payment delays.

IMPACT sent a letter containing an individual application identification number to all physicians previously enrolled in MMIS. With this ID number handy, log on to the IMPACT provider enrollment system to revalidate your existing data.

If you are unable to locate your ID number or if you are having difficulties logging on, call the IMPACT helpdesk for assistance at 877-782-5565.

When IMPACT became operational August 3, the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services also stopped accepting paper applications from physicians who wished to enroll as Medicaid providers. Newly enrolling physicians must complete an online enrollment form.
