National Guard Seeks Part-Time Medical Professionals; Offers Compensation, Benefits

The National Guard seeks qualified doctors, medical students, physician assistants and behavioral health professionals to join a large health care network, working one weekend a month and two weeks in the summer.

Medical professionals would be eligible for full benefits and allotted a flexible schedule, all while continuing their practice in the civilian sector.  

Note these potential benefits of service: 

  • Medical students may qualify for up to $2,500 monthly pay; and low cost medical/dental/life insurance.
  • Physicians may quality for up to $240,000 student loan repayment; up to $75,000 bonus pay; $2,500 annual CME reimbursement; low cost health/dental/life insurance; and retirement at 20 years of service.
  • Physician assistants, nurse practitioners, social workers or clinical psychologists may qualify for $75,000 student loan repayment; $60,000 bonus pay; $2,500 annual CME reimbursement; low cost health/dental/life insurance; and retirement at 20 years of service.
