Congress Must Act to Repeal SGR

Few weeks remain for the current Congress to take action on Medicare reform.  While the time remaining in D.C. is brief and the agenda is long, repealing Medicare's Sustainable Growth Rate (SGR) formula is still a very real possibility during this lame duck session. That's why it is urgent that physicians and patients contact your legislators this week and urge them to act before it is too late.

Earlier this year, Congress came close to passing bipartisan legislation that would have permanently fixed the SGR crisis. And while the "SGR Repeal and Medicare Provider Payment Modernization Act of 2014" (H.R. 4015/S. 2000) had been stalled; lawmakers on both sides of the aisle are expressing new optimism that it could pass during the lame duck.
