Help combat deep vein thrombosis; provide
screenings for at-risk individuals

Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and its primary complication, pulmonary embolism, kill almost 300,000 people each year - more than breast cancer and AIDS combined!

To address this important public health issue, ISMS has partnered with the American Venous Forum to promote venous screenings for Illinois residents. This is part of an ongoing effort to increase public awareness about the dangers of venous disease.

The National Venous Screening Program for Venous Disease was designed to promote a nationwide focus on venous disorders such as varicose veins, chronic venous insufficiency and venous thromboembolism. Through this important screening program, ISMS is working with physicians to provide free comprehensive venous screenings for individuals at risk for venous disease.
