Illinois State Medical Society
Group Dues Discount Program

In 2000, the ISMS House of Delegates approved the Group Dues Discount Program as a permanent part of the ISMS dues structure. Under the program, all physician members practicing in the group are entitled to 15% off the cost of their ISMS membership dues. Each full-dues status physician member participating in the program will receive a 15%, or $82.50, discount on their ISMS dues. Members at reduced dues levels, such as physicians in their first four years of practice, are also entitled to the same 15% discount. It is up to the individual county medical society to offer a similar discount.

In order to qualify for the program, 100% of the physicians in the group must be (or become) members of ISMS and their county medical society. ISMS and county medical society dues must be paid with a single corporate check to each county medical society. Payment of AMA dues is not mandatory for the group in order to receive the discounted rate.

A 15% Group Dues Discount is as easy as 1-2-3

  1. An economically integrated group* of 10 physicians or more

  2. 100% membership

  3. Payment via a single corporate check

* ISMS' definition of a group eligible for the ISMS Group Dues Discount Program: "The provision of health care services by ten or more physicians who are formally organized as a legal entity in which business and clinical facilities, records, and personnel are shared. Income from medical services provided by the group are treated as receipts of the same group and distributed according to some prearranged plan."
