Legislative Advocacy, Keeping Doctors in Illinois!

ISMS led the fight resulting in the 2005 passage of comprehensive medical litigation reform legislation.  Experienced ISMS legislative staff work on the issues important to your profession, your patients, and your practice.

ISMS keeps its members up-to-date with information on the important issues driving health care in Illinois.  All ISMS members receive Weekly Rounds, a weekly wrap-up of Society news, Illinois Medicine EXPRESS, a monthly publication offering in-depth analysis, and Medical News Wire, a monthly electronic letter that refines up-to-date health policy information. Members also have access to Capitol MEDLOG, a Web log detailing breaking legislative and political news.

Affinity Partners for Your Practice

ISMS offers valuable practiced-based discounts to its members through partnerships with the following organizations.

Raymond E. Hoffmann, MD, Medical Benevolence Fund, Inc.

This Benevolence Fund was created to provide temporary financial hardship support to ISMS member physicians or their dependents. Personal information is only made available to Benevolence Fund Committee members and support staff, who are held to the highest confidentiality standards.
