OAK BROOK PHYSICIAN INDUCTED AS PRESIDENT,
ILLINOIS STATE MEDICAL SOCIETY

Oak Brook – Peter E. Eupierre, M.D., Oak Brook, took office as president of the Illinois State Medical Society (ISMS) during its recent annual meeting here. As the Society’s chief spokesman and representative, the president travels extensively to meet with members and other external audiences statewide.

A specialist in internal medicine, Dr. Eupierre is an attending physician on the medical staff of Resurrection Westlake Hospital in Melrose Park. He is also a medical faculty member at Westlake Hospital and the West Suburban Hospital and Medical Center.

Dr. Eupierre held the post of ISMS president elect from 2004-2005 and has been a member of the Board of Trustees since 1997. He has also served on the organization’s Governmental Affairs Council, and the Committee on CME Accreditation. Locally, Dr. Eupierre is a member of the Chicago Medical Society, serving as its president (2004-2005), president-elect (2003-2004), and chair (2003-2004).

Dr. Eupierre received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and his medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico, where he graduated with honors. He completed a three-year internal medicine residency at West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park, IL, where he received its prestigious Outstanding Resident Award.
