Illinois Doctors Meet to Discuss Medical
Care Reform, Public Health Issues
WHO? Over 200 doctors from across Illinois, responsible for setting policy for the Illinois State Medical Society.
WHAT? Debate and take action on 50 policy resolutions addressing health care reform and public health issues. The following is a partial list of discussion items:

ISMS-AMA unified membership;

Open versus closed drug formularies;

Antitrust relief for self-employed physicians;

Licensing of surgical assistants;

Mandatory use of hospitalists;
