The ISMSA is proud to present the Legislative Awards Program. The Award will be based on a point system, with special points accumulated depending on the legislative activities of county Alliances this year. The point value is listed below and additional information is available by contacting Kate Jarvie, ISMS, 312-782-1654 or at jarvie@isms.org.
Point System
Meet with your Legislator (10 points) - For each visit with your local legislator to discuss issues of importance.
Mini Internship (40 points) - For each county Alliance sponsoring a Mini-internship Program.
Legislative Program (10 points) - For each legislator speaking at a county Alliance meeting.
Day at the Capitol (10 points) - For each organized "lobby day" held in Springfield to meet with legislators and officials.
Campaign Coordinator (30 points) - For active participation within a political candidate's primary and/or general election campaign.
Bonus Points, etc.
Bonus points may be earned through the Illinois State Medical Society Political Action Committee (IMPAC). Ten points may be earned for each 10 new members to IMPAC. We will be glad to provide you with lists for your county, including names, addresses and membership levels.
