ISMS Practice Management Educational Series - This series especially for practice managers consisted of five half-day seminars across the state of Illinois. Managers gleaned insight into managing consumer-directed health care, declining reimbursement, increasing competition and pay-for-performance initiatives, and learned strategies to foster teamwork and resolved staff conflict.

ISMS Membership Education and Management Summit - The 2007 ISMS Membership Education and Management Summit brought together physicians and their practice managers for a two-day conference. Topics covered included how to deal with difficult patients, strategies on hiring and retaining great staff and how to run a more profitable and efficient medical practice. Managers also learned how they benefit when their physician-employer is an ISMS member.

ISMS Leadership Conference - The 2006 ISMS Leadership Conference brought together ISMS physician leaders, county, state, Alliance and specialty medical society leadership and executives, practice managers, and hospital medical staff presidents.
Conference sessions covered topics including national health care priorities, grassroots activity, office staffing issues, membership, and coding. The highlight was a payer panel featuring medical advisors from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, CIGNA Healthcare of Illinois, United Healthcare Illinois, and the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services.
