ISMS Bylaws
CHAPTER XIV. AMENDMENTS
The House of Delegates may amend any article of these Bylaws by a two‑thirds vote of the delegates present (credentialed) at any meeting, provided that such amendment shall not be acted upon before the day following that on which it was introduced. Proposed bylaw changes should be the first order of business of the second session of the Illinois State Medical Society House of Delegates.
The Board of Trustees can adopt such changes to these Bylaws as are, in its judgment, clarifications, reorganization, renumbering, or other changes made necessary because of punctuation, spelling or other errors of grammar or expression, inaccurate cross-references, or to reflect changes in committee names. Such changes shall be reported to the next House of Delegates for approval.
