Brief Biographical Information:
Dr. Malkin was raised in Wilmette and attended the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, followed by medical school at Rush University in Chicago. He completed his primary care internal medicine internship and residency at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago and has been practicing general internal medicine with The Medical Care Group since 1990, with privileges at Northwest Community Hospital and Alexian Brothers Medical Center.
Professional Involvement:
Dr. Malkin has been an ISMS member since 1990, having served as president (2010-2011), vice-president, delegate, chair of reference committees, and member of the Finance and Medical Benevolence Committee. He currently serves ISMS as chair of the Board, District 3 trustee and alternate delegate to the American Medical Association. He is also a member of the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Malkin is an active member of the Chicago Medical Society, where he has served as council member, secretary, treasurer and president (2005-2006).
