Brief Biographical Information:

A retired general and vascular surgeon, Dr. Hamilton has lectured and written extensively in support of the medical savings account concept as a foundation for national health insurance reform.

Dr. Hamilton received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine and served his residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, both in Omaha.

Professional Involvement:

Dr. Hamilton has been active in ISMS since 1973. He has served on the Council on Economics and the Council on Public Relations and Membership Services, as an alternate delegate to the AMA, and as a Board consultant to the Physician Assistance Committee. He originally served on the Board of Trustees from 1993-1999, rejoining it in 2008.

Dr. Hamilton has been a member of the Madison County Medical Society since 1973, serving as president in 1979 and in 2002-2003.
