Brief Biographical Information:
A board-certified orthopedic surgeon in private practice, Dr. Geline has served on on the medical staffs at Rush North Shore Medical Center (now NorthShore University HealthSystem), St. Francis Hospital in Evanston and at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he is past president of the medical staff.
Dr. Geline earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School in Madison. He completed an orthopedic residency at the University of Chicago Hospitals and at Cook County Hospital.
Professional Involvement:
Dr. Geline has been a leader in ISMS for many years, having served as president from 1998-1999 and vice president from 2008-2009. He is a member of the ISMS House of Delegates and has served on the Public Affairs Committee, the Governmental Affairs Council, the Finance Committee and more. He currently serves on the Council on Communications and the IMPAC council, in addition to chairing Illinois' delegation to the AMA.
Locally, Dr. Geline is a member and past president of the Chicago Medical Society, where he has held the posts of secretary, treasurer and president of the North Side Branch. In addition to his membership in the American Medical Association, he is also a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Illinois Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
