Brief Biographical Information:

A board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist, Dr. Milam is on active staff at Lake Forest Hospital and Advocate Condell Medical Center, where he is a past president of the medical staff. He is on academic medical staff at Highland Park and Evanston hospitals, and served as clinical assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Chicago Medical School from 1995-1999. His medical practice is located in Vernon Hills, IL.

Dr. Milam received his medical degree from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara, Mexico. He completed residencies at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago and the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield.

Professional Involvement:

Dr. Milam is active in organized medicine at multiple levels. A member of ISMS since 1991, he has served as president (2009-2010) and has chaired the Medical Legal Council. He currently serves on the Committee on Finance and Medical Benevolence, which he has also chaired, and as Board consultant to the Governmental Affairs Council.

Dr. Milam is past president of the Lake County Medical Society and serves on its Executive Committee. In addition, Dr. Milam is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is a member of the American Medical Association, to which he is a delegate.
