Brief Biographical Information:

Dr. Axe is board-certified in internal medicine and practices medicine with the Medical Care Group in Arlington Heights. He is on the medical staff at Northwest Community Hospital and Alexian Brothers Medical Center, where he has served on the Quality Oversight Committee since 2002.

Dr. Axe received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed both his internship and his residency at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago.

Professional Involvement:

Active in ISMS since 1993, Dr. Axe currently serves on the CME Accreditation Appeals Panel and as a Board consultant to the Governmental Affairs Council. He has served as a member of the Governmental Affairs Council and the Council on Economics. He belongs to the Chicago Medical Society, serving as chair of the Council and sitting on the Board of Trustees.

Dr. Axe is a member of the AMA, representing his hospital medical staff as a delegate to its Organized Medical Staff Section. He is also a member of the American College of Physicians.
