Brief Biographical Information:

A board-certified general surgeon, Dr. Drueck specializes in wound care. He currently practices at Swedish Covenant Hospital, where he is the medical director of its wound center. He consults with several area nursing homes in the treatment of acute and chronic wounds.

Dr. Drueck received his medical degree from the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, where he also completed his surgical residency. He interned at Chicago Wesley Memorial Hospital.

Professional Involvement:

Dr. Drueck has been a member of ISMS since 1977, having served as speaker of the House of Delegates and on numerous councils, such as the Medical Legal Council and the Committee on Drugs and Therapeutics.

Dr. Drueck is a member and past president (2000-2001) of the Chicago Medical Society. On the national front, he is a member of the American Medical Association, serves as a delegate to the AMA and is an advisor to the AMA’s Current Procedural Terminology Panel. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a councilor of its Metropolitan Chicago chapter.
