Brief Biographical Information:

A board-certified internist specializing in gastroenterology, Dr. Fregia is in private practice in Matteson. She is on active staff at Ingalls Memorial Hospital, St. James Hospital and Advocate South Suburban Hospital.

Dr. Fregia completed her undergraduate studies at Tennessee State University and obtained her medical degree from the University of Illinois. She completed her residency and fellowship at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago.

Professional Involvement:

Dr. Fregia has been an ISMS member since 1993, has served on the Council on Membership and Advocacy and is currently a Board consultant to the Council on Communications and the Council on Membership & Advocacy. She is also a member of the American Medical Association and the American Gastroenterological Association.

Dr. Fregia has been a member of the Chicago Medical Society (CMS) since 1993, currently serving on its Board of Trustees and its Building Committee. She became treasurer of the CMS Southern Cook County branch in 2001 and continues to serve in that capacity, chairing the CMS Service Bureau.
