ISMS has partnered with county medical societies to make it easy to ensure your office is fully compliant with OSHA. Learn what occupational hazards are prevalent in the health care industry, how you can protect yourself and your employees from these hazards, how to assess your office for compliance and complete an action plan for addressing hazards.

This program is designed for clinicians, office managers and office staff.
Program agenda
This 2-hour program, led by an OSHA compliance specialist, will provide an overview of hazards in the healthcare industry, OSHA requirements for physician offices, emergency action plans, hazard communications, bloodborne pathogens and personal protective equipment. You will also complete a review assessment and develop an action plan for your office.
Learning objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity, the participants will be able to:
- Recognize occupational safety and health hazards within the physician office.
- Describe actions to be taken to be in compliance with OSHA requirements in the areas of hazard communications, bloodborne pathogens and personal protective equipment.
- Demonstrate the ability to complete an action plan based on medical office assessment.
Continuing medical education
The ISMS designates these educational activities for a maximum of 2 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
The ISMS is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
