Be the First to Know About Rx Recalls and Warnings

The Illinois State Medical Society and ISMIE Mutual Insurance Company encourage physicians to enroll in the Health Care Notification Network (HCNN), a free service that improves patient safety and may reduce liability risk.

HCNN delivers FDA-mandated electronic drug alerts, medical device recalls and patient safety alerts to physicians’ e-mail addresses, replacing the current paper process that is both slow and error-prone.

Enroll today.

Additional HCNN features include:

  • No cost to physicians and their staff.
  • A copy of the alerts from the HCNN can be automatically sent to practice administrators and added to their physician’s account.
  • Privacy is protected by the not-for-profit board that governs the HCNN.
  • The HCNN includes no advertising or selling.
  • Opt out at any time.
  • Alerts sent through the HCNN are paid for by manufacturers who use the network for alert delivery.
  • More information is available at www.hcnn.net or by calling 1-866-925-5155.
