Save the Dates: ICD-10-CM Workshops Coming this Summer
As you know by now, the compliance deadline for the new ICD-10-CM code set has been delayed until Oct. 1, 2014.
Staff who are involved with billing and coding will need significant training when the new code set soars from about 13,000 codes under ICD-9-CM to 68,000 codes under ICD-10-CM.
While 2014 may seem like a long way off, it's not too soon to begin preparing for the implementation of this code set. Start now by registering for ICD-10-CM: Readying Your Physicians and Practices for the Change, a workshop designed for practice staff, billers, coders, physicians or anyone desiring a better understanding of the changes ahead with ICD-10-CM.
The half-day workshops, being co-sponsored by ISMS and Blue & Company, will take place at these dates and locations:
- July 17 - Oak Brook
- August 7 - Springfield
The cost is $149 each for practice staff in offices of ISMS members and for member physicians; all others pay $249 (including non-member ISMIE Mutual policyholders).
Register online for the July 17 workshop; August 7 workshop. Fax or mail this registration form for either workshop.
