ISMS and SafeWorks IL Announce Work Comp Seminars

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE FOR INTERVIEWS CONTACT:
January 09, 2012  John Maszinksi
312-580-6440
  312-608-3620

Beginning in March 2012, the Illinois State Medical Society and SafeWorks Illinois will be co-sponsoring regional seminars focusing on changes to Illinois’ workers’ compensation system. The program includes focus on the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment (6th Edition). These courses offer the opportunity to learn more about the impairment guide ratings from both legal and medical viewpoints.

Illinois enacted a major workers’ compensation revamp in 2011 and professionals working in the field must adapt to several new rules and policies. Employers, physicians, nurse case managers, lawyers, risk managers, government employees and other stakeholders involved in the process for treating injured workers should consider this  half-day seminar a “must attend” event.

All six courses will be identical in format, but will take place throughout the state of Illinois. The half-day meetings are ideal for the busy members of the work comp medical and professional team. Attendees will be briefed on the essentials of the AMA Guidelines in one timely and efficient session.
