The ISMS Resident and Fellow Section (RFS) is committed to representing Illinois residents and fellows at all levels of organized medicine, as well as to promote active participation and leadership among resident physicians within their professional organizations including the county medical society, Illinois State Medical Society and American Medical Association.

The ISMS RFS activities are directed through its governing council, comprised of resident and fellow members from various specialties and residency programs throughout Illinois. In addition to its officers, the governing council includes residents and fellows serving on ISMS councils, on the ISMS Board of Trustees, within the ISMS House of Delegates and within the ISMS Delegation to the AMA.
